MY THIRD BEST AUTHOR - A GREAT SURPRISE !

Salon Mondial d'Art Photographique 2012 is a rarity - a print only salon run by Photo-Club d'Esch-sur-Alzette in Luxembourg. I entered twelve prints in monochrome, colour and experimental sections and had ten prints accepted. I was also awarded a FIAP Silver Medal, two FIAP Ribbons and a PCE Diploma. My surprise, when I opened the parcel, was to discover I was also awarded a FIAP Blue Badge as "Best Author". This diminutive badge is a highly sought-after award - I now have three in my collection. There are only four photographers in Ireland in possession of this award - Ciaran Whyte has four, Wesley Law has two, John Hooton has one and myself with three - not bad for a small country !
