Salons in the UK are regarded as tougher than most. To me, most of the judges are at the top of their game - they regularly compete in International Salons and are more in touch with current and emerging trends in photography. So, when an image succeeds in a salon in the UK, one can justifiably celebrate. Five out of eight images accepted is well above average.
