THE BEST SPORTS SHOT ?
27th December 2010
This photograph by Associated Press photographer, Morry Gash, has been described as one of the best sports shots, ever !
What makes it so special ?

As Morry was following the action (LeBron "The King" James – 6) he had a trick under his slieve – well, actually, at his feet ! He synced a second camera (by radio remote) with a wide-angle lens – placed on the floor at his feet to his main camera and, as he followed James with a longer focal length lens , his second camera captured the acton from a different angle. Dwayne Wade (3) had just passed the ball to James (6) and as he moved out of the way the remarkable shot was taken. It was remarkable because it contains every element of a perfect picture - the action around the score and reaction of the opposition and teammates – a complete picture. The HEAT topped the BUCKS 88 – 78 in the Bradley Centre, Milwaukee on December 6th. The picture deserves a close examination - it deserves the accolade of the best sports picture of 2010. It was a straight capture where Morry Gash used all his 15 years experience as an Associated Press photographer based in Milwaukee.
